Sometimes understanding the pattern changes the conversation.

1:1 reparenting coaching gives you a space to examine the relationship between earlier experiences and what is happening in your life now.

What we might explore

There isn’t a predetermined list of things you’re supposed to uncover.

Depending on what brings you into coaching, our conversations may explore:

  • childhood and family dynamics
  • parenting triggers
  • boundaries
  • guilt
  • parentification
  • people-pleasing
  • relationships
  • conflict
  • emotional reactions
  • identity
  • expectations you’ve carried into adulthood

The point isn’t to find childhood explanations for everything.

It is to understand what’s happening well enough that you have more choice in how you respond.

My role

I don’t want to become another authority telling you who you’re supposed to be. My lived experience is not your template. I draw on my lived experience to recognise patterns and relational dynamics that may not always be immediately apparent, while remaining curious about what they mean in the context of your own experiences.

My role is to listen, notice patterns, ask questions, challenge assumptions when needed and help you examine your experiences from perspectives that may be difficult to access when you’re standing inside them.

Some conversations are compassionate and some are just uncomfortable.

More often than not, they’re both.

Important distinction

Reparenting coaching is not psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions.

Where someone’s needs fall outside the appropriate scope of coaching, therapeutic or other professional support may be more suitable.
